PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. The Lone Star Elementary PTA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our students, teachers, and school community through programs, events, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities.

Who can join the PTA?

Everyone is welcome! Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, staff, and community members can all become PTA members. Whether you have an hour to volunteer or simply want to support the school through your membership, we'd love to have you involved.

What is Membership Toolkit?

Membership Toolkit is our secure online platform where families can join the PTA, purchase spirit wear and fundraiser items, and stay informed about upcoming events and announcements.

When are PTA meetings?

PTA meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30AM in Room 101. Reminders for meeting times and locations will be announced throughout the year on our website, social media pages, and Class Dojo reminders. All members are welcome to attend.

Do I have to attend meetings to be a PTA member?

No. While we'd love to have you join us, attending meetings is not required to be a PTA member. There are many ways to support the PTA that fit every schedule.

How can I volunteer?

There are volunteer opportunities for every level of availability. Whether you'd like to help at a single event, assist in your child's classroom, serve on a committee, or take on a leadership role, we'd love your help. How do I sign up to volunteer?

Volunteer opportunities are shared throughout the year through our social media pages, and classroom communications. You can also complete our Volunteer Interest Form to let us know where you'd like to help.

How does the PTA raise money?

The PTA raises funds through membership dues, school fundraisers, spirit wear sales, sponsorships, donations, and special events. Every dollar raised directly benefits Lone Star Elementary students and staff.

How is the money used?

Funds raised by the PTA support student enrichment programs, teacher grants and appreciation, family events, campus improvements, educational resources, and other initiatives that enhance the student experience at Lone Star Elementary.

Where can I find the PTA budget?

The PTA budget is approved annually by the Board of Directors and membership. Financial updates are shared during PTA meetings, and members are welcome to ask questions about how funds are being used.
